Because that’s where DNA is found in animal cells and mRNA needs to copy a part of DNA which is the primary transcript then the primary transcript goes through RNA splicing to get rid of the introns as they are non-coding regions of DNA and then splices the exons together to form a mature transcript which can then be translated in the translation stage

What is the role of cholesterol in the cell membrane?

The cell membrane is composed of two lipidic bilayers, cholesterol, proteins, and glucans incrusted in between.

Cholesterol is one type of lipid.

These molecules are incrusted in the membrane between the hydrophobic tails of lipids.

Their proportion on both sides of the membrane is almost the same.

Cholesterol is a significant molecule that contributes to the membrane fluidity, separates phospholipids, and interact with membrane proteins regulating in their activity.

What term describes an educated guess about what the answers to a question might be
Nostrana [21]
A hypothesis is an educated guess. This is part of the scientific method developed in science to explain natural phenomena in the environment. Usually scientists use the hypothesis in their controlled experiments.

Whether it is a fact or not scientists use the hypothesis as a basis or a starting point for further explanations. This is known as the scientific hypothesis. When an educated guess yields the same results over time, the answer is called a theory. Something that is widely accepted but still needs to be proven and investigated further.
