Let us assume that total amount of Nathan's allowance = x
Amount of money deposited by Nathan into his savings account = 7x/9
Remaining amount that Nathan spent = $2.50
Now we have to get to the equation for solving the question asked.
7x/9 + 2.50 = x
7x + (9 * 2.50) = 9x
7x + 22.50 = 9x
22.50 = 9x - 7x
22.50 =2x
x = 22.50/2
   = 11.25
So $11.25 is the total allowance of Nathan.
Then The amount of money deposited by
Nathan in savings account = (7/9) * 11.25
                                           = 78.75/9
                                           = 8.75
So Nathan deposits $8.75 in his savings account.

suppose that a set of scores has a mean of 5 and standard deviation of 2. what score corresponds to a z score of -2.0?
anzhelika [568]

The set of scores has a mean of 5 and a standard deviation of 2. The score which corresponds to a z score of -2.0 is 1.

Given in the question,

Mean (m) = 5

Standard deviation σ =2

Z-score = -2

The score x,

= Z = x - m / σ

= -2 = x - 5 / 2

= -4 = x - 5

= x = 1

Standard deviation in statistics means the amount of dispersion or variations in the set of values. A lower standard deviation means the value is closer to the mean while a higher standard deviation means the value is farther away from the mean.

What is the volume of a cone with the diameter 12 CM in height 4 cm
Romashka [77]

The formula for the volume of a cone is

V=\pi\cdot r^2\cdot\frac{h}{3}

to find the radius divide the diameter by 2

\begin{gathered} r=\frac{D}{2} \\ r=\frac{12}{2} \\ r=6 \end{gathered}

replace all data in the formula

\begin{gathered} V=\pi\cdot(6^2)\cdot\frac{4}{3} \\ V=\pi\cdot36\cdot\frac{4}{3} \\ V=(48\pi)cm^3^{} \end{gathered}
