Effectus [21]

A bailment in which both the bailee and bailor derive some benefit, and, as a result, each has rights and duties, is known as a mutual-benefit bailment.

A bailment begins when a man acquires property previously owned by another person. Men take over the goods for specific reasons and for specific periods of time. For a contract to be a valid surety, a man must put his property under the control of another person. The goods are then safely returned after the specified period.

The person who surrenders the property is the bailer. The person who keeps the property is the bailee, and the bailee does not acquire the ownership of the property. A bailment is a short-term contract that can be terminated in various ways, including by mutual agreement of the parties, actions of either party, damage caused to property, and operation of law.

The most common type of bailment is a mutual-benefit bailment, where both parties benefit from the agreement. There are five types of mutual-benefit bailment: leasing, labor and services, mortgages, transportation, repository and parking.

mixas84 [53]

Explanation:

er people have different expectations these days, and that will continue to change. What might have been good enough for previous generations will not cut it in the future, and what we have is not sustainable anyway. I certainly don’t want to end up in a care home, nor do I want to have to make the decision for my parents to go into one. I have worked with many older people who have just wanted to stay in their own homes. It’s about choice, having the services in place to support people to make choices about how they want to live, and be supported when necessary in later life.

Goryan [66]

Here is the full question:

Bitter cassava is often preferred as a crop over sweet cassava because it produces higher yields (more pounds of cassava per hectare planted) in the presence of herbivores. Which of the statements poses a hypothetical relationship?

a. Plants produce chemicals to deter herbivores. Bitter cassava stores toxic compounds in its tissues. Bitter cassava should incur less damage, and therefore have higher yields.

b. Plants produce chemicals to deter herbivores. Bitter cassava stores toxic compounds in its roots. Because they are below ground, the roots are not eaten and the presence of toxic compounds does not contribute to higher yields.

c. Plants produce chemicals to deter herbivores. Bitter cassava expends energy on producing toxic compounds. The more toxic compounds a plant produces, the lower its yields.

d. Plants produce chemicals to deter herbivores. Bitter cassava requires additional nitrogen to make these compounds. The additional nitrogen that is used reduces the amount of nitrogen available for plant growth, and decreases yields.

Answer:

a. Plants produce chemicals to deter herbivores. Bitter cassava stores toxic compounds in its tissues. Bitter cassava should incur less damage, and therefore have higher yields.

Explanation:

Hypothetical relationship refers to an imaginary situation that signify a relationship between an object/subject with another object/subject. This hypothetical relationship tend to be unproven/not yet backed by scientific evidence.

Pay attention to the wording in option A

. . . .stores toxic compounds in its tissues. Bitter cassava should incur less damage . . .

That word indicates that the one who made the statement only assume that the cassava will receive less damage from the interaction. This can be used as an example of a hypothetical relationship.
