Joseph McCarthy was a conservative and driven man with the ability to convince others of the dangerous situation communists threatened.

During the Cold War, many Americans already had a growing sense of skepticism toward communists. Joseph McCarthy was able to use the media outlets to convince Americans there were spies within the country. McCarthy was a master at using props and language which triggered fear. This fear gave him power to go on a "witch hunt".

ankoles [38]

Answer:

Yes, it is possible to balance the pursuit of private goods over public goods and this balance is a desirable goal.

Explanation:

The pursuit of private goods over public goods can be balanced with the help of various government policies and taxes. This balance is a desirable goal in order to maintain the economic growth of each strata in the society. It enables the below poverty line strata to have access to the basic necessities. why did civil rights leaders expect that world war 2 would help their movement reach its goals more quickly?
Naddik [55]

The general consensus amongst the Civil Rights leaders during World War II was that the fighting in World War II would advance the cause of the Civil Rights movement as people would see the paradox of discriminating against the very people who were helping to protect American values by fighting for their country.
