Answer:

(f∘f)(x) = x⁴ -12x² +30

(g∘g)(x) = x/9

Step-by-step explanation:

a) (f∘f)(x) = f(f(x)) = f(x² -6)

... = (x² -6)² -6

... = x⁴ -12x² +36 -6

... (f∘f)(x) = x⁴ -12x² +30

b) (g∘g)(x) = g(g(x)) = g(x/3)

... = (x/3)/3

... (g∘g)(x) = x/9

9(x +1) +{2y(z -1)}/2<br> Solve for y<br><br> How do you do this? I’m confused
Nezavi [6.7K]
Answer
If only {2y(z-1)} is being divided by two:

9x+9+yz-y

If whole equation is divided by two:

9x+9+2yz-2y over 2

Explanation: In the first instance, you can cancel out the 2 in the numerator and denominator, which leaves you 9(x+1) + {y(z-1)}. You can then simplify to get 9x+9+yz-y

In the second instance, you distribute 9 to what is inside the parentheses, and get 9x+1. You then distribute 2y to what is inside the parentheses within the brackets and get 2yz-2y. You are then left with 9x+9+2yz-2y over 2

Angles C and D are acute angles of a right triangle.
Flauer [41]

Answer:

The answer to your question is cos C =\frac{5}{7}

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

sin D = \frac{5}{7}

Formula

sine Ф = \frac{opposite side}{hypotenuse}

- If sin D = \frac{5}{7}

the opposite side = 5

the hypotenuse = 7

- We can find the adjacent side of angle D using the pytagorean theorem

               7² = a² + 5²

               a² =49 - 25

               a² = 24

               a = \sqrt{24}

- To find the cosine of angle C

 Cos C = \frac{adjacent side}{hypotenuse}

  Cos C = \frac{5}{7}

                <u>   sin D = cos C</u>
