In the Great Gatsby it's mainly about a tragic love story but on the surfave of this it's still commonly to understand that how the American dream can be a pessimistic critiuqe.  In novel by : Jay Gatsby he overcomes his poor old past to now gain an incredible amount of wealth and even a limited amount of socail cache during the 1920s  in NYC, the only to be rejected by the "Old money" crowd.  He then gets killed after he was tangled up with them.

While Gatsby is falling in love with Daisy she seems to be a great attribute to his life since she helps him in the sense of rasing up his social rank and even obtaining financial success.

While reading this book you can see how the character analysis and broader analysis of topics that surrounding the American Dream in the Great Gatsby.
