English

Answer:

The correct answer is A) The Coliseum in Rome is the structure that used to host gladiatorial combats.

Explanation:

A simple sentence is identifiable when there are three major components:

Subject + Verb + Object.

The Verb + the Object are both known as Predicate.

A ten-word sentence can still be a simple sentence because of the presence of modifiers, compound subjects, and compound verbs/predicates.

An example of a very basic simple sentence is:

Rome hosted combats.

Rome is the subject.

Hosted is the verb

Gladiatorial combats is the object.

The subject becomes a compound one when you add The Coliseum. That is "The Coliseum in Rome is the structure" becomes the subject.

The verb/predicate becomes compounded when you qualify it using:

"that used to"

This makes the "that used to host" a compound verb. Note that the word hosted has changed to host.

The object - Combat has also changed slightly by the presence of a qualifier - and adjective - gladiatorial.

Spalding gray was associated with which contemporary theatre form?
Oliga [24]
Spalding Gray was an actor and writer who specialized in performing monologues. The monologue is a theatre form in which a single actor delivers an extended speech. In most theaterical productions, the purpose of a monologue is to reveal a character's inner thoughts to the audience or, sometimes, to provide exposition. In Gray's performances, by contrast, the whole work was a monologue and he was the central character. The effect, as in the literary form of the personal essay, was to bring society and current events into focus by presenting them through the lens of the artist.

Lesechka [4]
You did not provide the excerpt but in the end Jekyll was not able to permanently resist. It was implied that he was actually Hyde deep inside and that Hyde is the one who will overtake and he won't be able to come out again. In the end he dies as Hyde and people find out what happened out of letters that he sent while he was sane.
