This question is based on Combination.

Part A: when the elevator operator cannot distinguish people.

Now there are 8 people and 6 floors and the number of floors keeps decreasing by 1.

so 8+6-1=13

applying combination \binom{13}{5}=1287 ways.

Part 2: When the elevator operator identifies between men and women.

there are 5 men and 3 women.

Number of ways to select 5 men = 5+6-1 =10

Applying combination \binom{10}{5}=252 ways.

Number of ways to select women= 3+6-1=8

Applying combination \binom{8}{5}=56 ways

Total number of ways = 252*56 = 14112 ways.

If an equilateral triangle has an angle of 3 X what is the value of X
Paraphin [41]
<h2>Greetings!</h2>

Answer:

x = 20

Step-by-step explanation:

In an  equilateral triangle, everything is the same; line length and angles. Each angle in an  equilateral triangle is:

180 ÷ 3 = 60

So 3x = 60

Divide both sides by 3 to get x:

x = 20

A parking lot covers 32,420 square feet .what id its area to the nearest thousand feet
Mademuasel [1]

Answer: 32,000

Step-by-step explanation:

the thousands place (1000) is the fourth number to the left of the decimal, so round that one either up or down based on the number just one spot closer to the decimal, in this case, the hundreds place (100).

so we have 32,420

we can ignore the numbers that are going to become zeros as a result of the rounding . .

32,400

let's round 32,XXX either up or down based on the value in the hundreds place. if that value is 5 or greater, than we round up. if it is less than 5, than we round down.

4 is in the hundreds place, so we round down

32,000 is the answer

Hope this helps!!! Good luck!!! ;)
