To find the surface area of this solid figure we add the area of all the faces

formula for area of triangle = 1/2 * base * height

So Area of two triangles = 2( 1/2 * 3 *2) = 6 in^2

And area of two lateral rectangles = 2( length * width) = 2( 2.5 *7 ) = 2(17.5)= 35 in^2

And area of base rectangle = (3*7) in^2 = 21 in^2

Now adding all the areas we get

(6+35+21) in^2 = 62 in^2

So surface area = 62 in^2

SA= wh+lw+lp+ls

SA= 3(2)+7(3)+7(2.5)+7(2.5)

SA=6+21+17.5+17.5

SA=27+35

SA=62

What is 15% of 60 show your work to prove your answer
Mila [183]
<span>To convert a percentage to a decimal you move the decimal two places to the left. Therefore:

15.% becomes .15

You then multiply this decimal to the number you are trying to find the percentage of.

.15 × 60 = 9.

9 is 15% of 60.

together,sarah's two cats have the same mass as her dog,11 kg.the mass of one cat is 1500 g greater than the mass of the other.
Alika [10]
Let (a) be the first cat
let (b) be the second cat
a +b=11kg-----(1)
a=b+1500g⇒(1.5 kg)-------(2)
so now u have a system of two unknowns
a=11-b
substitute a in (2)
11-b=b+1.5
11-1.5=2b
2b=9.5
b=9.5/2=4.75
subs. b in (1)
a+b=11
a+4.75=11
a=11-4.75=6.25
so cat (a) is 6.25 kg
and (b) is 4.75 kg
hope I helped

HURRY !!! Farmer McHenry is going to sell his tomatoes at the farmer's market. It costs Farmer McHenry $2.50 in gas, $1 for the
Korolek [52]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The total cost that farmer McHenry assumes to sell his tomatoes at the farmer´s market includes: the gas, the stand and the price tags. The expression is the following:

Total cost = $2,50 + $1 + $0.50

Total cost = $4

Farmer McHenry's revenue depends on the number of tomatoes he sells:

Revenue (t)= Price* t

Revenue (t)= $0.50(t)

To know how many tomatoes, he must sell so that the cost equals his revenue, you must equal both expressions and then find t:

$4=$0.50 (t)

t= $4/$0.50

t= 8

He must sell 8 tomatoes.
