According to Tajfel, in 1979 some group categories are known to influence the identity for making people feel proud and a source of self steem:

social class,  familly, nationality,

<em>James is a mid class employee, </em><em>then he believes that his social class makes him feel empathy for the other people in his situation, specially in relation to voting, taxation, etc</em>
