For example, if we take a sample of water from a particular mass, we do not change its constitution, so the mass is a physical property. Another example is the property that water has to evaporate, it changes from a liquid to a vapor state, but remains with the same chemical composition. Thus, the boiling point is a physical property.

Other examples of physical properties are: volume, density, physical state (solid, liquid and gas), melting point, temperature, color and hardness.
