Answer:

The given statement is true.

Explanation:

Battle of Saratoga won a decisive victory for the Superior army of Americans. British general Burgoyne encountered the American General Horatio Gates. General Burgoyne planned that the British forces would protect him from four directions. The troops from south and west failed to come and rescue him. He was ensnared and ultimately was forced to surrender.

General Burgoyne also prearranged to quarantine New England from the southern colonies but the American troops were so strong that they were repulsive with aggressiveness to the British Army.

Battle of Saratoga won the confidence of the French who continued to fund and supply arms and ammunition during the time of American Revolution.

* PLEASE ANSWER * Mikhail Gorbachev, the General Secretary of the Communist Party and leader of the Soviet Union, was a refomer.
leonid [27]

Answer:

A) Gorbachev hoped that the reform he brought to the Soviet Union would end the Cold War.

Explanation:

The Soviet Union's strict policies over its satellite countries and its citizens at home were ultimately making the once powerful world force weaker and were preventing diplomatic relations with many other countries.

With Gorbachev's introduction of the Glasnost policies, the United States and other countries were more willing to work with and have relations with the Soviet Union, something that had been cut under the strict censorship policies.

The main way in which mercantilism increased the likelihood of conflicts between European powers was that it led to dispute over who could trade where, and disputes over the trade agreements themselves, since every country wanted the "best deal".
