I believe the answer is: (A) political and religious stability.

The partition was created because of constant conflict between hindu and muslim population in India.

Through the partition, both population from these religions could occupy and form their own government based on their religion, which lead to a political and religious stability in India and the country that is know referred to as Pakistan.

The partition caused millions of refugees to pour across new borders into regions of the two new countries that were totally foreign to them. Both countries faced both ruined lands and economies at the start of their independence. The ideological differences between the Hindu and Muslim populations in colonial India led the British to believe that the two new countries should be divided along religious lines rather than regional ones.

Was it moral for settlers to move in and set up farms and towns? Why/why not?
Maru [420]

Answer:

Yes. But only on the land that wasn't pre-occupied by the native.

Explanation:

The vast majority of the land in North America at the time was inhabited. Coming to this territory to form farms and towns would not bother any particularly group of people.

The creation for farms and towns itself wasn't immoral.

But, doing so while taking the ancestral land of the locals and forced them to moved away or kill them is considered as 'immoral'. There were plenty of space that hey can occupied without doing so.
