Answer:

The religions or philosophies that were founded before A.D. 400 are:

Hinduism

Buddhism

Christianity

Confucianism

Explanation:

-Hinduism is one of the oldest religions in the world, as it began some four thousand years ago in India.

Some followers of this religion worship only one god, but others worship many. The most important god of all is Brahman, but it is not possible to worship him directly; it must be approached through other gods such as Brahma, Shiva or Vishnu.

-Buddhism is a philosophical and religious movement, founded by Gautama Buddha in the 6th and 5th century BC in northern India. Buddhism arose from local religious traditions, and in interaction with ritualistic and ascetic currents within Brahmanism, one of the forerunners of modern Hinduism. Buddhists believe that one can be freed from the circle of rebirths by following the "middle way" taught by the Buddha. The most important aspects of this middle ground are the elimination of all material desires, the ethical conduct, and the development of the mind.

-Christianity is a monotheistic religion based on personal teachings and faith in Jesus Christ, born around year 4 BC in Palestine. The main principles of Christianity are laid out in the Bible, a collection of books and letters originally written in Aramaic, Hebrew, and Greek.

The essence of Christianity is that all things are possible by the grace of God and that humanity can come into relationship with God and inherit eternal life in Heaven through faith that is possible by the grace of God and not by the actions of men.

-Confucianism is a philosophy developed in China from the teachings of Confucius, who was born in 551 BC. The most important virtues of Confucianism are humanity, justice, good manners, loyalty and wisdom. Reciprocity such as respecting the upper ones and protecting the lower ones is important. The basic principle of Confucianism is to improve and increase the well-being of a society through the noble behavior that first passes from family to city, then to society and later to the world. This is achieved through virtuous living.
