Answer: Jem’s broken arm brings the novel full circle because in the beginning Jem and Scout are arguing what caused him to break his arm. The story ending where it did makes the reader realize that all of it was a flashback. Jem is now more mature and sees the world as it is. He is no longer, like Scout, a naive child thanks to Tom’s case.
