Answer:

The correct answer is option D. The same restriction enzyme would be used to cut both the donor human DNA and the vector DNA.

Explanation:

The way one could engineer bacterial cells to produce a human protein is by allowing bacteria to taking up the recombinant DNA. This recombinant DNA are inserted in the form of the vectors.

Recombinant DNA technology  or RDT allows individual fragments of DNA from any donor human genome to be inserted into vector DNA molecules with the help of the specific restriction enzyme for both vector DNA and donor DNA.

Thus, the correct answer is option D. The same restriction enzyme would be used to cut both the donor human DNA and the vector DNA.

What are the two key features present in all seed plants that contribute to their dominance of terrestrial ecosystems?
zhannawk [14.2K]
The answer is seeds and pollen. They allow for the free dispersion of plants in terrestrial environments hence allowing plants colonize new habitats. Additionally, the seeds and pollen can remain dormant for a period of time and sprout only in favourable conditions for plant growth

Why is it important to follow strict safety procedures when handling a urine sample
xz_007 [3.2K]

Because you could easily contaminate the results of the urine if you don't follow exactly what the strict rules dictate This could be a very dangerous thing because if you contaminate the results, then other doctors would think that the patient has some disease that needs to be taken care of which in reality they do not. The patient could also have to go through things or waste money on things that they don't need to because there was something in the urine that wasn't supposed to be there which was added because they didn't follow the strict rules. Then the doctor who contaminated it could be sued for malpractice which is never a good thing.
