Now there should be at least two points that are on a x axis and y axis line that meet. If not It has to be important that the points are on a point that where the lines meet. You can pick them but they have to be the meeting points of two lines If there’s two points just stick with them. Now what you do is go to a point and count every square you move up or down till you are parallel to the point. Don’t count the line it’s on I do that sometimes. That is the Y. now in the same spot count all the squares you pass till you get to the second point. That’s the X. Now if you draw and connect the path you made it should like somewhat like a triangle. Now the X and Y you got make it a fraction like this y/x. If the slope is positive the slope should be positive if it is negative put a negative sign in front the slope. Now to use the slope and prove you were right is look at the fraction. If you counted 6 going up or down to be parallel with the second point and 5 to go to the second point, it should look like this 6/5 and go to the second point and go up 6 across 5 and it should be right if it’s negative then go down 6 over 5. If the slope is 2, realize 2 is the same as 2/1 so go up 2 over 1.

Problem 1 [4 pts]: The maintenance cost of machines are uniformly distributed from 0 to 160 (dollars). If a random sample of 75
Andru [333]

Answer:

$6,000

Step-by-step explanation:

The mean value of a sample is assumed to be the same as the mean of the population. The mean of a uniformly distributed variable between 0 and 160 is:

M = \frac{0+160}{2}\\ M=\$80

If the mean cost for each machine is $80, the mean aggregate cost for a sample of 75 machines is:

M_{75}=75*\$80\\M_{75}=\$6,000

The mean aggregate maintenance cost is $6,000.

Suppose you have $5000 to invest. A certificate of deposit (CD) earn 6% annual interest, while bonds, which are riskier, earn 8%
Travka [436]
2000(1.06)+3000(1.08)-5000=360
2000(1.06)^2+3000(1.08)^2-5000=746.4

Determine the common difference for each arihmetic sequence 1,5,9,13
Zolol [24]
The common difference is 4. If you look at the numbers 1 and 5, there is a difference of 4. If you look at 5 and 9, there is also a difference of 4. If you look at 9 and 13, there is a difference of 4. Therefore, in this arithmetic sequence, the common difference is 4.

How many hours worked is 1:45-4:00?
lyudmila [28]

Answer:

2 1/4 h = 2.25 h

Step-by-step explanation:

From 1:45 to 4:00 is:

15 min to 2:00

from 2:00 to 4:00 is 2h

We know 1h = 60min, therefore 1min = 1/60 h

2h and 15min = 2h + 15/60 h = 2h + 1/4 h = 2 1/4h = 2.25h
