Which additional word in the poem should be capitalized? The Elephant The long gray elephant lumbered Slowly down the river bank
wolverine [178]
Since this is a poem and you have a comma after river bank, the answer would be Halting because it is starting a new line. River should not be capitalized in this sentence because it is not a proper noun. It is just a common noun.

What is the author’s purpose in the Above passage, and how does he achieve it through his organization and choice of details
Orlov [11]

Okay. I cannot see the article, again but will try my hardest to answer this anyway.

The purpose can usually be seen in the first sentence or paragraph (unless you have an excerpt). Though it may not be too specific it will usually be backed up by evidence later in the passage. A purpose can always be proven by text details.

Choice of details: should support the purpose

organization: Some things are good for some purposes.

e.g. cause effect, shows the good or bad effects of a purpose. The author can support the purpose or no.

chronological can show how something has changed over time.

etc.

Try to identify the main structure and how the passage is organized and how it supports the main idea.

At the concert, how did the members of the All-City Jazz band honor Jeffrey's courageous fight against leukemia? Check all that
Sidana [21]

Answer:

Hello, the options are not provided. However, the members of the All-City Jazz band honored Jeffrey's courageous fight against leukemia by;

1. Proclaiming him an honorary member of the band.

2. Giving him an official All City T-shirt and a special All City ball cap.

3. Shaving off their hairs in honor of Jeffery's fight against leukemia.

Explanation:

The story, "I'm A Man Now", tells of a young boy named Stephen who experienced the troubles his five-years old brother went through as he fought the battle against cancer and leukemia. Stephen who was a drummer organized a concert to raise funds for his ill brother.

He was supported by his teachers and fellow students who paid for the concert so as to raise the needed funds. To honor Jeffery, the band proclaimed him an honorary member, gave him a customized T-shirt and ball cap of the band, and shaved off their heads.
