Diana Baumrind is a Psychologist who has developed a theory in which she describes the type of behavior style adopted by parents in the upbringing of their children. The 3 styles of parenting are authoritarian, permissive and democratic.- The authoritarian style the father governs the behavior of the child by means of rules and punishments.- The permissive style is one in which the father allows the child to behave as he prefers and there are few behavioral limits.- The democratic style the father exercises a committed parenting style where he listens to his son.
