Answer:

Extensive social regulation may have an anticompetitive effect.

Explanation:

Social regulation refers to a series of public policies, rules, and laws, implemented by a government that try to determine or influence some economic or social activities. Social regulations are often used with specific goals in mind, such as promoting equality, restrict harmful practices, and protect certain sectors of the population, the environment, etc. However, a side effect of regulatiosn is that they might have an anticompetitive effect. That is, they can discourage private activity because the costs of abiding by the regulations might be seem as too high by some actors, thus preferring to stand aside; also, regulations can distort free markets, leading to distortions in prices and misallocation of resources. On the other hand, often times the costs of social regulations are often easier to measure than their benefits. This is because the costs can be directly measured by the amount of money regulations costs to the government and enterprises, while benefits are more often than not indirect, so there are no immediate indicators for how beneficial regulations can be.

relational responding to abstract stimuli that have the properties of mutual entailment, combinatorial entailment and transforma
ElenaW [278]

Relational responding is the process of responding to one stimulus or event in light of another. changes in stimulus functions Based on how a stimulus interacts with other inputs, a person's response to a stimulus can be altered or transformed.

Relational responding, also known as a relational reaction, occurs when an organism responds to a stimulus without taking into account the situational context, instead acting as though it were in response to another stimulus. When stimuli are related to one another, relational responding takes place, and conditioning may result from the associations that result from the relating of the stimuli.

A relational response example is provided in a paper by Ian Stewart and John McElwee. When the colour red is used, an animal is taught to select a vertical line, and when the colour green is used, it selects a horizontal line. Vertical-red and Horizontal-green are the two unidirectional relational responses that result from this. By linking the stimuli and reacting in accordance with the relationship, this association results.

Explanation:

The human brain contains both the automatic system, which controls around 80% of our actions and the executive system, which manages the remaining 20% and needs a deliberate regulatory effort.

The executive function includes verbal working memory and non-verbal working memory that determine how much effort and what kind of activities are needed to adjust the way the brain works automatically.
