the initial population of a town is 3300

after 10 years: 3300 + 3300*(10/10) = 6600

after 12 years: 6600 + 6600*(2/10) = 7920

Answer:

5746

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the initial population of a town is 3900, and it grows with a doubling time of 10 years.

i.e. population grows exponentially as

P(t) = 3900 (2)^{\frac{t}{10} }

Using this we can calculate population for 8 years

P(8) = 3900(2)^{\frac{8}{10} } \\=5745.63\\~5746

Population in 8 years is 5746

Lady_Fox [76]

Answer:

Females = 17 and males = 23

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

Total no of students in the class = 40

Let no. of females = x

No. of males = 6+x

ATQ,

Total students = males + females

40 = x+6+x

40-6 = 2x

34 = 2x

x = 17

Hence, there are 17 females and (6+17= 23) males.
