<span>It was important because it sped up the delivery of goods services to the public.  Communication improved making clear what was needed and that people understood each other better.  Inventions like the automobile, steam engine boat and later planes made it faster to transport these goods and products faster.  Inventions like the telephone also enabled to directly communicate with each other at a faster pace.  Today transportation of goods and services are more advanced than they were with planes travelling from country to country and the use of the internet and mobile devices have imporved communication between buyer and seller.</span>
