Hey there!

The x-intercept is where the line crosses the x-axis. The x-axis is horizontal. It crosses the line three left from the origin, or (0,0). This is -3. The x-intercept is -3. The answer would be either B or C. The line never hits the y-axis, so the y-intercept is none. The answer is C.

I hope this helps!

barxatty [35]
The correct answer for the question that is being presented above is this one: "<span>C) </span>4.2 inches." Bella has sampled the heights of 30 students at Ridgemont High and obtained a mean of 64.2 inches. He constructs a 90% confidence interval, which turns out to be (61.0, 67.4). The margin of error is <span>C) </span><span>4.2 inches </span>

djyliett [7]

\text{Given that,}\\\\f(x) = 4x+5,~~~g(x) = \dfrac 2x\\\\\\f(3) = 4(3) +5 = 12 +5 = 17\\\\\\(g\circ f)(3)=g(f(3))=g(17)=\dfrac 2{17}

It would be the 2nd answer....your initial value (read from the left of the line graph) is 4.....following the line to the first even point you can see it has dropped 3 for the 4 points it has moved to the right....giving -3/4 as the rate of change.
