Answer:

Option D.vaporization and sublimation

Explanation:

During vaporization, there is a change of state from the liquid form to the gaseous form. There is considerable amount of energy that is needed to break the forces between the water molecules. Heat energy is needed to break the force of the hydrogen bonds between the water molecules. In addition, the heat energy is called the heat of vaporization or ΔH_{vap} . After that, there is additional heat needed  to make the gas molecules to gain more kinetic energy to move faster.

In sublimation, there is direct change from solid to gaseous state. The same principle applies to the process. The molecules are broken in the solid to the gaseous state. This is known as the heat of sublimation, ΔH_{sub}

Using Kohlberg's terms, identify the level of moral reasoning in each statement:
tatiyna

Answer:

1. Pre conventional

2. Post conventional

3. Conventional.

Explanation:

Kohlberg did some studies on morality and proposed a theory on moral development.

Kohlberg defined three different levels of morality (and each level consists in 2 stages).

These levels are

  • Pre conventional
  • Conventional
  • Post conventional

In the preconventional level, the person's morality is externally controlled and therefore acts based on what the punishment will be (1st stage) or based on how good will it be for him/her to act in some way (2nd stage)

The conventional level stages also has to do with external controls but now the person thinks in function of ensure positive relationships and societal order. The third stage here depends on the approval of others. The fourth stage has to do with accepting rules because they preserve the society order  and functioning.

The postconventional level stages are defined in more abstract principles or values. The 5th stage sees the world as a place with different values that must be respected. Finally the 6th stage is based in universal ethical abstract principles.

Now, looking at the information given:

(1) "He only cares if he gets punished or rewarded": This would be an example of <u>pre conventional level</u>, since the behavior is externally controlled and focuses on punishment (1st stage)

(2) "He has a personal code of ethics that transcends what society says" : This would be a<u> postconventional level</u> based on abstract values and principles that transcends society.

(3) "His morality is focused on what the culture says is legal or right": This would be a <u>conventional level</u>, since the behavior is externally controlled and focuses on society order (4th stage)

Samantha is giving a speech on binge drinking. she uses supporting material that says, a binge drinker is a man who drinks five
nikitadnepr [17]
This type of supporting material is a definition.
A definition is an explanation of what something is or represents or stands for - so in this case, the definition of a binge drinker is a person who drinks a certain amount of drinks in one sitting.
An analogy would be a comparison to something else, an illustration is self-explanatory, and an opinion is a personal feeling about something.

How did the 21 amendment affect the 18
sukhopar [10]
<span> Prohibition proved difficult to enforce and failed to have the intended effect of eliminating crime and other social problems–to the contrary, it led to a rise in organized crime, as the bootlegging of alcohol became an ever-more lucrative operation. In 1933, widespread public disillusionment led Congress to ratify the 21st Amendment, which repealed Prohibition.</span>

which of the following characteristics is shared by primal religions and modern religions? a focus on rites of passage that mark
Mrrafil [7]

A focus on rites of passage that mark significant moments in an individual's life is a characteristic shared by primal religions and modern religions.

<h3>What is rites of passage ?</h3>

A ceremony or ritual known as a rite of passage signifies a person's departure from one group and entrance into another.. It entails a considerable shift in social position. In cultural anthropology, the word "rite of passage" relates to a phrase that was developed by ethnographer Arnold van Gennep and published in his book Les rites de passage, The Rites of Passage. The phrase has now been fully included into anthropology as well as popular culture and literature in many modern languages.

According to van Gennep, rites of passage include three stages: separation, liminality, and inclusion.

  1. People prepare to transition from one status to another during the first phase, which sees them retreat from their existing situation.
  2. When someone leaves one state but has not yet entered or joined the next, they are in the transition phase i.e., liminality.
  3. The third stage (reaggregation or incorporation) sees the completion of the ritual subject and the passage. One enters society with their new status once they have finished the ritual and taken on their "new" persona.
