Rock guitarist and singer Jimi Hendrix used wah-wah pedal,
which is a type of electric guitar effect pedal that changes the tone and
frequencies of the guitar signal (mimicking the human voice), to emphasize the
"sweet spot" in the tonal spectrum. It is believe that Jimi Hendrix learned
about the pedal from Frank Zappa.
