They weren't so much interested in heaven church or hell, like in the renaissance the statue of David is focused on the beauty of his nude body... the period after that another statue of David was made, which was focused on the action of what he was doing (which was killing goliath.)

Renaissance thinkers were the first to believe in the actual "genius" of humanity - people could be brilliant. The goal of many people of the Renaissance was to be as well rounded and talented in as many areas as possible.

Renaissance humanism was a new way of thinking that emeged that essentially began to promote more secular ideas, such as genius, as opposed to religious ideas. Humanists wanted to work for reform to make people's lives on earth better, but not necessarily their life after death. People became more focused on secular things like money, art, and food as opposed to religious things, which they had focused on in the Middle Ages.

How did the 15th, 23rd, and 26th Amendment impact voting rights in the United States?
gregori [183]

White entertainers often performed in "blackface" instead of allowing African-Americans on stage. Women were not accepted in most professions. Neither group was allowed to step into a voting booth.

it wasn't until 1869, when the Fifth teenth Amendment was ratified, that males of all races got the vote.

It took another 50 years, with the ratification of th

e Nineteenth Amendment, for women to finally get suffrage.

The Twenty-Third Amendment gave limited voting rights to the residents of Washington D.C.

Then the 24th Amendment banned poll taxes that some states used to chase ethnic and poor people away from the ballot box. In some places, people needed to own property to vote - not anymore.

During the bitter years of the Vietnam War, Americans realized if young people can be ordered to fight and die, they deserve to choose their leaders. The Twenty-Sixth Amendment lowered the voting age to 18 years.
