Answer:

Yes, it is important for students to study poetry by authors with diverse experiences and to write and perform their own poems

Explanation:

Studying poetry by authors of different experiences is very helpful.

Learning poetry from authors of different experiences can help in following ways: -

a. Students build listening skills by listening poems that can be read orally.

b. Poems help to build their vocabulary. Students come across words that they might be hearing for the first time and hence learn their meaning and usage. Different poets use different kind of vocabulary. Some use difficult words and some write simple poems.

c. Different poets use different sentence structure and rhyming patterns. Students get verse of all these diversities. At the same time, students learn phoenics. And learn rhyming words which can help create their own poems.

d. Overall, poetry has a positive impact on children. They think creatively, learn to express themselves and how they feel.
