Proove that <br>1/1-sin theta + 1/1+cos theta = 2×sec square theta
Rina8888 [55]

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to prove that,

\dfrac{1}{1-\sin\theta}+\dfrac{1}{1+\sin\theta}=2\times \sec^2\theta

Taking LHS,

\dfrac{1}{1-\sin\theta}+\dfrac{1}{1+\sin\theta}\\\\=\dfrac{(1+\sin\theta)+(1-\sin\theta)}{(1-\sin\theta)(1+\sin\theta)}\\\\=\dfrac{2}{1-\sin^2\theta}\\\\\text{As}\ 1-\sin^2\theta=\cos^2\theta\\\\=\dfrac{2}{\cos^2\theta}\\\\\text{As}\ \dfrac{1}{\cos^2\theta}=\sec^2\theta\\\\=2\sec^2\theta\\\\=RHS

Hence, LHS = RHS.

Suki rode her bike 6/7 mile. Claire rode her bike 1/3 mile. They want to compare how far they each rode their bikes using benchm
Licemer1 [7]

Answer:

6/7 > 1/2

1/3 < 1/2

Suki rode her bike a longer distance than Clarie

Step-by-step explanation:

Suki's distance = 6/7 miles

Compare with bechmark 1/2

6/7 and 1/2

Make the denominators same

(6*2)/(7*2) and (1*7)/(2*7)

12/14 and 7/14

12/14 is greater than 7/14

12/14 > 7/14

Therefore, 6/7 > 1/2

Clarie distance = 1/3 miles

Compare with bechmark 1/2

1/3 and 1/2

Make the denominators same

(1*2)/(3*2) and (1*3)/(2*3)

2/6 and 3/6

2/6 is less than 3/6

2/6 < 3/6

Therefore,

1/3 < 1/2

Compare Suki's distance with Clarie

compare 6/7 and 1/3

Make the denominators same

(6 * 3)/(7 * 3) and (1 * 7)/(3 * 7)

18/21 and 7/21

18/21 > 7/21

Suki rode her bike a longer distance than Clarie

A plane descends to sea level from 36 comma 400 feet after being airborne for 1 and one half hours. The entire flight time is 3
andrew-mc [135]

Answer:

350 feet per minute

Step-by-step explanation:

The amount of time it took the plane to descend is 3 hours 14 minutes minus 1 hour 30 minutes.

This means it took 104 minutes for the plane to descend 36,400 feet.

Dividing 36400 by 104, you get 350 which is the average rate of descent in feet per minute.

How do you write 9.085 x 10-9 in standard form?
Levart [38]

Answer: 0.000000009085

Step-by-step explanation: This expression is rewritten like this because it is multiplied by a negative power of ten. Therefore, applying this principle to scientific notation, the answer would have to be less than 0. That would be your answer. Hope this helps!
