The Cannon-Bard theory of emotion derives its name from its developers, named Walter Cannon and Philip Bard. The theory explains stimulating events causes emotions and physicals such as trembling and muscle tension at the same time. As per this theory, it is proposed that feelings result in a physiological reaction when the thalamus sends a message to the brain in response to a stimulus.
