Two of the greatest problems that arose from Industrialization and urbanization were that 1) workers int he factories were working incredibly long hours in very dangerous positions, and 2) that there was overcrowding in cities, which led to the quick spread of disease and other public health issues.

See in WWII timing was everything so it is believed that if the USA hadn’t declared war so soon the “Victory in Europe” (purely speculative) would have almost surely been a victory for Powers.
