Okay, so the term "<u>exponent</u>" is a number on the top right corner of a number that tiny number AND/OR a tiny ^ in the middle of two numbers. An exponent means how many times you multiply it by itself. Here's an example:
10^2 is the same as 10x10
=100
So if the number is 10, then your teacher should give you the exponent number so you can know how many times you should multiply the number 10 by itself.
