Let , time devote for other student is x .

So , Time left for other subject = Total time - Time taken by science and mathematics .

$x=T-t\\\\x=5\dfrac{2}{3}-2\dfrac{4}{2}\\\\x=\dfrac{(5\times 3)+2}{3}- \dfrac{(2\times 2 )+4}{2}\\\\x=\dfrac{17}{3}-4\\\\x=\dfrac{17-(4\times 3)}{3}\\\\x=\dfrac{5}{3}=1\dfrac{2}{3}$

Therefore , time devote for other subject is $1\dfrac{2}{3}$ hours .
