Answer:

$2.64

Step-by-step explanation:

Selling them at 5 cents each ($0.05), he could sell 1 dozen buttons for

12 * $0.05 = $0.60

As he bought them at $0.38 per dozen, the profit per dozen would be

$0.60 - $0.38 = $0.22

As 12 dozen is 1 gross, the profit per gross would be

12 * $0.22 = $2.64

3 x 12 = 36

.5 x 36 = 18.0

36 divided by .38 is about 94.7

18 - 94.7 = -76.7

Factor the trinomial below. x^2 + 5x – 24 A. (x – 8)(x + 3) B. (x – 4)(x + 6) C. (x – 3)(x + 8) D. (x – 6)(x + 4)
abruzzese [7]

Answer:

The answer is option C

Step-by-step explanation:

x² + 5x - 24

To factorize first write 5x as a difference so that when subtracted will give you 5 and when multiplied will give you - 24

That's

x² + 8x - 3x - 24

Factorize x out

That's

x( x + 8) - 3(x + 8)

Factor x + 8 out

We have the final answer as

(x + 8)(x - 3)

Hope this helps you

How to solve this limit?
wlad13 [49]
(2x^2/(1-x^2)) + 3^(1/x) for the first half you can simply divide all terms by the highest power of x to get:

2/(1/x^2-1) as x approaches infinity you have 2/-1=-2

For the second part the exponent approaches zero as x approaches infinity and anything raised to the zero power is equal to 1 so you have:

-2+1=-1

So the limit as x approaches infinity is -1.
