Answer:

Classmates like more hip hop then Relatives

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

62 % of 80 class mates likes hip hop

and

70% of 60 relatives like hip hop music

To find :

who likes more hip hop

Solution:

We have to find the no of class mates and family relatives who like hip hop and we will get to know that who like more hip hop class mates or family members

so

Class mates who like hip hop are = 62 % of 80

                                                        = 62 % * 80

as 62 % = \frac{62}{100}

so it becomes

Class mates who like hip hop are =  \frac{62*80}{100}

Solving it gives

Class mates who like hip hop are =  \frac{4960}{100}

                                                         =49.6

which is approximately 50 classmates like hip hop

Relatives who like hip hop are = 70 % of 60

                                                        = 62 % * 80

as 70 % = \frac{70}{100}

so it becomes

Relative who like hip hop are =  \frac{70*60}{100}

Solving it gives

Relatives who like hip hop are =  \frac{4200}{100}

                                                         =42

which is approximately 42 relatives like hip hop

So as we can see from the results more no of class mates like hip hop then relatives

Todd is 81 years younger than Rosa. 3 years ago, Rosa’s age was 4 times Todd’s age. How old is Todd now?
Delvig [45]
Let t represent Todd's age now.
.. 4(t -3) -(t -3) = 81 . . . . . . 3 years ago, their differnce in ages was 81.
.. 3t -9 = 81
.. t = (81 +9)/3 = 30

Todd is 30 now.

_____
You can also work this by considering "ratio units." 3 years ago, the ratio of their ages was 4:1, a difference of 3. That difference corresponds to 81 years, so each "ratio unit" represents 81/3 = 27 years. Todd's age then was 1 ratio unit, 27 years. Now, Todd's age is 30.

vladimir2022 [97]
The answer is x = 10, y = 10.

Step 1: rearrange the second equation for y.
Step 2: substitute y from the second equation into the first equation.
Step 3. Calculate y.

Step 1.
<span>The second equation is: 6x + 3y = 90
Divide both sides of the equation by 3:
(6x + 3y)/3 = 90/3
6x/3 + 3y/3 = 30
2x + y = 30
Rearrange the equation:
y = 30 - 2x

Step 2.
</span>Substitute y from the second equation (y = 30 - 2x) into the first equation:
<span>15x + 9y = 240
15x + 9(30 - 2x) = 240
15x + 270 - 18x = 240
15x - 18x = 240 - 270
-3x = -30
x = -30/-3
x = 10

Step 3.
Since </span>y = 30 - 2x and x = 10, then:
y = 30 - 2 * 10
y = 30 - 20
y = 10

MSAL 1.1.PS-35 Question Help A fruit juice company includes 1.729 ounces of apple juice in a 6.55-ounce bottle of a mixed fruit
Alex777 [14]

Answer:

4.821 ounces

Step-by-step explanation:

To figure out the amount that is <em>not </em>apple juice, you have to subtract the amount of apple juice, 1.729 ounces, from the total amount of mixed fruit juice, 6.55 ounces, to get the remainder of 4.821 ounces.

Please help me with this
lys-0071 [83]

Answer:

0.6

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that there are 5 counters in total. 3 white and 2 black.

So we know that 3 out of 5 are white and 2 out of 5 are black.

Therefore the chance to get white is 3/5. And for black: 2/5.

We can turn these into decimals, 3/5 = 0.6 (You can make it 6/10 to make it easier.)

And 2/5 = 0.4 (You can make it 4/10 to make it easier.)

Answering the question, you should put your cross/marker on 0.6

The points , (−15,1) and , (−7,r) lie on a line with slope 5/4. Find the missing coordinate r. Click image to enlarge
Nadya [2.5K]

The missing coordinate r is 11.

Solution:

Given points are (–15, 1) and (–7, r).

x_{1}=-15, x_{2}=-7, y_{1}=1 \text { and } y_{2}=7

Slope (m) = \frac{5}{4}

<u>To find the missing coordinate r:</u>

Slope formula:

$m=\frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}$

Substitute the given values in the formula.

$\frac{5}{4}=\frac{r-1}{-7-(-15)}

$\frac{5}{4}=\frac{r-1}{-7+15}

$\frac{5}{4}=\frac{r-1}{8}

Do cross multiplication.

8 \times 5=4(r-1)

40 = 4r – 4

Add 4 on both side of the equation.

44 = 4r

Divide by 4 on both side of the equation.

11 = r

⇒ r = 11

Hence the missing coordinate r is 11.
