Answer:

A. Simple sentence.

Explanation:

Look at the sentence. The author/writer of this excerpt tells you directly the setting (explicit setting). In a more complex piece of writing, the author would give you some clues in the text to make you guess the setting and where this is taking place. The conflict of Antwan getting bored and lost in the park was told to the reader (you) very directly. A good writer would give you clues in the surrounding text to make it all sound more interesting. For example, it could have been, "As Antwan was roaming the different flower gardens and plains and forests, his body ached like a tired ox and he wished he could be back home in his bed with a mug of coffee. He yawned as he felt sticky mud grip his shoes. Noticing he did not know where he was at this point, Antwan tried getting back to the Visitor Center." This shows that this sentence is very simple.

Hope this helped! (:

How does Walt Whitman’s use of anaphora in this passage from “Song of Myself” emphasize the ideas he is expressing?

The correct answer is, They confront the reader again and again with his ideas.

 • They confront the reader again and again with his ideas because it is the purpose of an anaphora to emphasize an idea. This is done by creating an emotional effect with the anaphora, these repetitions grow the final meaning of the sentences in which they are used. They also help us to conclude the idea that is expressed during the whole sentence in a very artistic manner. The repetition of the word nothing has a radical meaning that indicates us, the concluding effect the thought of all men in all ages and lands have.
