What is the best way to check the reliability and validity of a resource? A). determine the resources original medium of product
Paul [167]

The correct answer is B.

By analizing his education and professional background, we can assess how well informed on the subject the author of the book is.

If we conclude that the author has done enough research and is, indeed, proficient on the subject, we can conclude that the book is valid as a reliable source of information.

Refer to Explorations in Literature for a complete version of this story.
weqwewe [10]

Answer: It explains why Bob does not recognize his friend Jimmy when he talks to the policeman.

In the story, Bob walks along with the man who claims to be Jimmy for a while, and they even start to share experiences, before he realizes that man is not actually Jimmy. Bob only notices it when they step into an area that has better light and that allows him to examine the stranger's face more carefully.

The weather also has a secondary purpose, which is that of setting a sad, bleak tone to the story, foreshadowing a tragic ending.

What is the purpose for including a graph in an informational text?
Goshia [24]

Answer:

To provide the reader with a quick and visual way to analyze data

Explanation:

A graph is a type of diagram used to show the relation between variable quantities. There are several kinds of graphs, for example:

  • Line graph - illustrates how related data changes with time.
  • Bar graph - used to show categorical data with rectangular bars with heights proportional to the values they represent..
  • Pictograph -  a representation of data using images.
  • Histogram -  a graphical display of numerical data using bars of different heights.
  • Area graph - a graph based on the line graph but with the area below the line filled in with a certain color or texture.
  • Scatter plot - a graph that uses dots to represent values for two different numeric variables

The purpose of graphs in informational texts is to allow the reader to analyze data more easily and quickly. Visual content stands out more when it's surrounded by text, and sometimes it's impossible to quickly analyze data without these visual elements.
