Your supposed to go to the numbers and see the elevation of the surface. I think the parenthesis may tell something like that? The top left corner might help. I dont understand this entire page. It's way too weird. I have never had to do this before. So my best advice is to look closer and reread the information you are given, and to ask for help from people who have the same assignment if possible. I hope this helped in some dumb way. XD

The answer is a, he miscalculated, since the Americas hadn't been discovered by europeans (the native americans were there first) they did not account for america in their calculations
