Explanation:

The goal and aim of the drip irrigation method is to cut the volume of water used for irrigation. Usually, normal irrigation involves channeling water into a field in order to provide another option for limited water regime in an area. This procedure wastes water a lot and can cause fertilizers to reach ground water systems. Sometimes, if not correctly applied, they can wash nutrients away from the soil into nearby water bodies.

Israel developed a drip water system which directly applies water in form of drips to farm crops instead of flooding the whole field. This will help to save more water and prevent ground water pollution. Adoption of this method has led a spike in Israel's agricultural productivity and more water has been conserved for other use.
