the same side of segment CD as point A.
Is point E closer to point A, closer to point B, or the same distance from both points? Explain how you know.

E would be closer to A

explanation:

if they were the same distance from both A and E it would be a point on the line CD, and if it was closer to E it would be on the other side of line CD.
