6/15 = 2/c...this is a proportion, so we must cross multiply
(6)(c) = (15)(2)
6c = 30..divide both sides by 6
c = 30/6
c = 5

and if u will notice...6/15 = 2/5...proportions are nothing but equivalent fractions.
