Light is a form of energy that takes the shape of magnetic or electrical waves, and these waves are reflected off of or emitted from matter. According to Sir Isaac Newton's theory of light and color, since these waves of light have different frequencies and wavelengths, once reflected off of or emitted from matter, these waves appear as colors. According to the Young-Helmholtz theory, also called the trichromatic theory, we are able to see color because the retinas of our eyes are formed with three types of cones that are sensitive to the wavelengths of the three colors; red, green and blue. Therefore, the difference between light and color is that light is energy made up of wavelengths, whereas colors are the various wavelengths our eyes are sensitive to and can see once the light is reflected from or emitted from matter

Which artist chose to apply his artistic talent to a career in fashion design?
Ahat [919]
Hey there! Hello!

Not sure if you still need this answer, but I'd love help regardless.

Salvador Dalí was a surrealist and painter best known for his experimental artwork, such as <span>The Persistence of Memory (the painting with the melting clocks). His work mainly consisted of landscapes and portraits that were very bizarre and intriguing, from his subject matter to his painting techniques.

Alexander McQueen was a British fashion designer who made designer and custom-tailored clothing. He's known for some controversial and out-of-the-box collection titles and clothing designs. He died just recently – especially compared to the other artists on your list – in 2010.

</span><span>Claude Monet was a French impressionist who focused mainly on his paintings. He did a lot of oil paintings, like his series entitled "</span><span>Haystacks" that's literally a collection of paintings of stacks of hay at various times of the day, amongst other paintings of landscapes and portraits that were realistically portrayed.

Finally, Pablo Picasso is also a surrealist who did a lot of portrait paintings. Some of these </span>portraits are considered to be "cubism," a type of surrealism which consists of geometric shapes and the appearance of multiple perspectives from a single prospective.

The answer appears to be B, Alexander McQueen. He's the only fashion designer amongst a bunch of painters, so I'm confident that's you answer.

Hope this helped you out! Feel free to ask me any additional questions if you have any. :-)

When a harpsichordist depresses a key, a simple mechanism causes a __________ to __________ a string.
Rainbow [258]

It should be noted that when a harpsichordist depresses a key, there'll be a <u>quill </u><u>to a </u><u>pluck string</u> when the mechanism is applied.

A harpsichordist simply means an individual who plays the harpsichord. They may play as a soloist, chamber musicians, or members of an orchestra.

When a harpsichordist depresses a key, a simple mechanism causes a quill to a pluck string. The string is vital in a harpsichord and this differentiates it from a piano.
