One bowling facility charges $1 to rent shoes and $1.50 for each game bowled. Another bowling facility has a $2 shoe rental fee
VladimirAG [237]

The equation that shows the point where the total costs are equal will be; 1 + 1.5g = 2.5 + 2.25g

How to generate Algebraic Equations?

We are given that;

One bowling facility charges $1 to rent shoes and $1.50 for each game bowled.

Let C = total cost of bowling

Let g = number of games bowled

For first bowling facility; C₁ = 1 + 1.5g

For first bowling facility; C₂ = 2.5 + 2.25g

The equation that shows the point where the total costs are equal will be; C₁ = C₂

Thus, the equation that this represents is;

1 + 1.5g = 2.5 + 2.25g

A tv is $850. The sale for the tv was 20% off the original price but you can take an additional 15% off at the register
klasskru [66]
So from what I understand of the problem, the tv costs $850 at a discounted price of 20%. and other than the 20%, you can get an additional discount of 15% at the counter. So to solve this, you can just simply multiply 850 with 35% or 0.35. The answer to that will be $297.5. Now you then have to less this amount with 850. The final answer to that is 552.5. So after all the discounts that you have received from the store, then the final price that you can get for this tv set would be $552.5

There are 2.54 centimeters in 1 inch. How many centimeters are there in 1 foot? In 1 yard? Explain your reasoning.
Dmitry [639]

1 inch = 2.54 centimeters

1 foot = 12 inch

1 inch = 2.54 cm

12 inch = 12times 2.54 cm = 30.48 cm

Answer 1 foot = 12 inch = 12times 2.54 = 30.48 cm

* we know 1 yard = 3 foot

1 foot = 12 inch

1 inch = 2.54 cm

Answer : so 1 yard = 3 foot = 3* 12 inch = 36 * 2.54 cm =91.44 cm
