Answer:

a)  9*x + 27

b) 9*x+3

c) 45

d) 21

Step-by-step explanation:

since (f o g)(x) = f (g(x))  , then

a) (f o g)(x) = f (x + 3) = 9*(x+3) = 9*x + 27

similarly

b) (g o f)(x) = g (f(x)) = g ( 9x) = (9*x)+3 = 9*x+3

c) for x=2

(f o g)(2) = 9*2 + 27 = 45

d) for x=2

(g o f )(2) =  9*2 +3 = 21

thus we can see that the composition of functions is not necessarily commutative

givi [52]

Given :

Brianna is a waitress in an upscale restaurant. On Friday she waited on 12 groups of customers who spent an average of $186 per group.

Her tips averaged 18% of the total amount spent by all the groups of customers that day.

To Find :

Brianna's tip income earnings on Friday.

Solution :

Total amount of money spent by 12 groups :

P = $ 12×186 = $2232 .

She got tip of 18% of the total amount spent by all the groups of customers.

T = P\times \dfrac{20}{100}\\\\T= 2232\times \dfrac{20}{100}\\\\T=\$446.4

Brianna's tip income earnings on Friday is $446.4 .

Hence, this is the required solution.

Please help me on this
avanturin [10]

Answer:

1. 8

2. 11

3. 14

4. 17

Step-by-step explanation:

When there is a number next to a number inside parenthesis, it means you multiply those together. Don't forget to use PEMDAS either. So you first multiply 3(and whatever number is inside) and then add 5. Hope this helped :)

If measure of angle 1 = 2x+6 and measure of angle 2 = 8x+4 where angles 1 and 2 are supplementary, then how much is the actual m
nlexa [21]

Answer:

The actual measure of ∠1 = 40°

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given: ∠1 = 2x+6 and ∠2 = 8x+4

and both angles are supplementary. we need to find the actual measure of ∠1

Supplementary angles: If the angles are supplementary their sum is equal to 180°

In our case ∠1 +∠2 = 180°

2x+6+8x+4=180

Solving the equation to find x, then we can find the actual measure of ∠1

2x+6+8x+4=180\\10x+10=180\\10x=180-10\\10x=170\\x=170/10\\x=17

So, value of x = 17

Now, finding actual measure of ∠1 by putting x=17 in equation 2x+6

\angle1=2(17)+6\\\angle1=34+6\\\angle1=40

So, the actual measure of ∠1 = 40°

Just add the numbers in without the dollar sign in front. Have one axis as money and the other as amount then add in the data.
