At no point during the passage we were told that an employee of the park was rude, or that the most famous ride wasn't working that day, for instance. The service was not faulty. The only reason behind Gwen's dissatisfaction was her own emotional state. Coming to the park caused unhappy memories and the feelings associated with them to emerge, which prevented her from enjoying this new visit.
