1. BECAUSE reconstruction was limited to white people rights only and unable to protect blacks’ rights. Reconstruction promise for their loyalty towards the U.S. government in order to maintain peace and follow the constitution fairly.

2. BUT it was the only reason for the establishment of the United States as a unified nation, that gave the United States a new constitution and acknowledged the new Amendments including 13th, 14th and 15th.
