Why is nose breathing preferable to mouth breathing

Biology

Nasal breathing is preferred over mouth breathing because most of the oxygen is absorbed from the air while exhaling. The outlet of nose is smaller than the mouth due to which nose creates more air pressure which leads to slower exhalation and greater time for oxygen to get absorbed.

Nose is connected to lungs and heart through nerves and not breathing through nose will lead to disturbed heart rate and blood pressure.

Because the nose is well adapted to breathing than the mouth. The nose warms the air before it reached the lungs. It also filters out the dust and foreign particles using the nose hairs and mucus. The mucus also has antibacterial properties hence mitigating bacterial infections.

Skeletal muscle cells exhibit a phenomenon known as recruitment, in which the number of muscle cells recruited to contract is pr
Sergio039 [100]

Answer:

No, cardiac muscle tissue does not exhibit recruitment.

Explanation:

The cardiac muscle tissue does not recruit cells to contract. The reason is that the cardiac muscle contracts all its cells at once and with the same force. It does not have to recruit other cells since it does not have to lift objects of different weights. The heart's contraction aims to pump blood and to do it rhythmically. The heart has a natural peacemaker, the sinoatrial node. The Sinoatrial node transmits an electrical impulse to all the heart to contract it all at the same time and continuously. For these reasons, the cardiac muscle does not need recruitment.

The change of temperature of the environment greatly affect the organisms because the organisms needs specific environment for growth and development. Habitat change, climate change, invasive species, overexploitation, and pollution are the factors that affect biodiversity. These factors causes increase or decrease in the biodiversity of the ecosystem.
