Let

x1-------> number of truffles of the first person

x2-------> number of truffles of the second person

x3-------> number of truffles of the third person

x4-------> number of truffles of the fourth person

x5-------> number of truffles of the fifth person

x6-------> number of truffles of the sixth person

we know that

\frac{(x1+x2+x3+x4+x5+x6)}{6} =7 ------> equation 1

\frac{(x1+x2+x3+x4)}{4} =8\\ (x1+x2+x3+x4)=8*4

(x1+x2+x3+x4)=32 -------> equation 2

x4=11 -------> equation 3

Substitute equation 3 in equation 2

(x1+x2+x3+11)=32\\ (x1+x2+x3)=32-11

(x1+x2+x3)=21 ------> equation 4

Substitute equation 4 in equation 1

\frac{((21)+x4+x5+x6)}{6} =7\\ \\ ((21)+x4+x5+x6)=42\\ \\ x4+x5+x6=42-21\\ \\ x4+x5+x6=21

therefore

the answer is

21\ truffles

franklin school has 3 boys for every 4 girls in the fifth grade. there are 140 students in the 5th grade. How many boys are ther
marin [14]

Answer:

There are 60 boys and 80 girls in Franklin School.

Step-by-step explanation:

"franklin school has 3 boys for every 4 girls in the fifth grade." means that the ratio of boys to girls is: 3:4

It can also be written as 3/4

Also given

Total number of students: 140

We will use ratios to find the number of boys and girls in shool.

First of all, we have to calculate the sum of ratio which is: 3+4 = 7

Let b be the number of boys and g be the number of girls

Then

b = \frac{Ratio\ of\ boys}{Sum\ of\ ratio} * Total\ students\\= \frac{3}{7} * 140\\= 3*20\\=60\\g = \frac{Ratio\ of\ girls}{Sum\ of\ ratio} * Total\ students\\g = \frac{4}{7}*140\\= 4*20\\=80

Hence,

There are 60 boys and 80 girls in Franklin School.

I need to Match each equation that represents each situation.
almond37 [142]

Step-by-step explanation:

this is quite easy, when you use just common sense and identify the right numbers and variable names.

they is nothing special needed, you don't even need to create the equations yourself.

$4.99 per pound. buys b pounds and pays $14.95.

14.95 = 4.99 × b

$4.99 per pound. buys b pounds and pays c.

this is exactly the same as before, just that this time the total amount is not given as a constant but as a variable.

c = 4.99 × b

d dollars per pound. buys b pounds and pays t.

the same as the 2 cases before, just now everything is a variable. no more constants, but otherwise the completely same structure and method.

t = d × b

earned $275, which is $45 more than Noah ("n").

$275 = n + $45

earned m dollars, which is $45 more than Noah ("n").

m = n + $45

earned m dollars, which is y dollars more than Noah (we are asked that Noah's earnings are now called "v").

here your teacher made a mistake.

sure, the only remaining answer is

v = m + y

but it is not correct. given the names of the prime and associated variables the correct answer would be

m = v + y or v = m - y

Find c.
Mazyrski [523]

Answer:

: c2 = a2 + b2 - 2ab cos C

c²=20²+15²-2×15×20×cos50

c²=400+225-600×0.64

c²=241

c=√241=15.5ft
