Rainwater is comprised of both oxygen and carbon dioxide which is essential for the growth of plants, and is acidic in nature. During the time of occurrence of rainfall, the rainwater gets mix up with the soil, and helps in releasing the essential micro-nutrients such as zinc, iron, copper into the soil and thereby enhances the growth, development and expansion of plants.
In addition to this, rainwater also helps in leaching the salt concentration downward into the deeper root zone, which obstructs the growth of plants.
