45 million * 2^{4} = 45million * 16 = 720million

Or you can use
y=Ae^{kt}
A is equal to 45 million
To find the rate, k, we can plug in:
90million=45million*e^{k*1}

2=e^{k}
k=ln(2)
y=4.5*10^{7}*e^{t *ln2}
Knowing that t = 4
y = 4.5*10^{7}*e^{ln(2)*4}

y = 720 million

If g(x) is a linear function such that g(-3) = 2 and g(1) = -4, find g(7).
SVETLANKA909090 [29]

Answer:

g(x)=f(x)=12x

Step-by-step explanation:

Since f(x)=g(x)  at two points x=−3,−1 , we can tell that g(x)  passes through the two points (−3,-32),(−1,−12)

But if g (x)is linear, that means that its graph is a straight line.

And since there is only one way to draw a straight line through two points, there is only one answer for g(x) , and since f(x) is a straight line passing through those two points as well, g(x)  has to be equal to f(x)

Please Help !! Sigma......what is the value of the
Oksana_A [137]
You have to count \sum\limits_{i=1}^{3}\left(4\cdot \left(\dfrac{1}{2}\right)^{i-1}\right).
For i=1,
4\cdot \left(\dfrac{1}{2}\right)^{i-1}=4\cdot \left(\dfrac{1}{2}\right)^{1-1}=4\cdot \left(\dfrac{1}{2}\right)^{0}=4\cdot 1=4.
For i=2,
 4\cdot \left(\dfrac{1}{2}\right)^{i-1}=4\cdot \left(\dfrac{1}{2}\right)^{2-1}=4\cdot \left(\dfrac{1}{2}\right)^{1}=4\cdot\dfrac{1}{2}=2.
For i=3,
4\cdot \left(\dfrac{1}{2}\right)^{i-1}=4\cdot \left(\dfrac{1}{2}\right)^{3-1}=4\cdot \left(\dfrac{1}{2}\right)^{2}=4\cdot \dfrac{1}{4}=1.
Then \sum\limits_{i=1}^{3}\left(4\cdot \left(\dfrac{1}{2}\right)^{i-1}\right) =4+2+1=7.
Answer: Correct choice is C.
