Francesca, who likes physics experiments, dangles her watch from a thin piece of string while the jetliner she is in takes off f

rom Dulles Airport. She notices that the string makes an angle of 25° with respect to the vertical as the aircraft accelerates for takeoff, which takes about 18s. Estimate the takeoff speed of the aircraft.

Answer:

v_f = 82.3 m/s

Explanation:

When a suspended string makes and angle of 25 degree while aircraft is accelerating on runway then we can use force equations to find the acceleration of the aircraft

So we will have

T sin\theta = ma

T cos\theta = mg

now from above two equations we have

a = g tan\theta

a = (9.81) tan25

a = 4.57 m/s^2

now if it took 18 s to take off we can have final speed of the aircraft given by

v_f - v_i = at

v_f - 0 = (4.57)(18)

v_f = 82.3 m/s

Since there are no aurora observed on Venus we can conclude that Venus a. lacks atmospheric oxygen b. is too hot for magnetic fo
Brrunno [24]

Answer:

Yes, Venus does not have the same magnetic field as that of earth's

Explanation:

Instead, there are solar wind particles that can deeply penetrate the venus atmosphere and can collide with the other carbon atoms already present in the air but lacks oxygen and thus does not have that strong magnetic field which would deflect the suns rays and create aurora in the sky at night.

Two golf balls with the same mass were hit at the same time. Golf ball A went a shorter distance than golf ball B. What could be
Firdavs [7]

Answer:

Golf ball A was hit with a weaker force

Explanation:

Golf ball B went a larger distance than golf ball A, so we could think friction affected golf ball A rather than golf ball B. That is why the first two choices are wrong.

The strongest forced applied made golf ball B go further.
